Autopopulate File when drawing a relationship

When I draw a relationship from one node to another, in most cases I'm doing so knowing that the node on the other end is in the same file as defined in the node I'm dragging from.
it would be great if data importer could figure this out for me. If it could make an educated guess on the field by the field name too that would be even better.

We now auto populates the relationship file and from/to mapping when the nodes at both ends of the relationship use the same file and have their IDs defined. The beginnings of this feature were in place mid August and were improved over the following month.
