We’re excited to announce that you can now connect to AuraDB Business Critical instances on AWS over a private connection, using AWS PrivateLink. It is available in Public Preview, in the regions below. We will add more regions during the preview, expanding to cover all regions where Business Critical is available today.
  • eu-west-1 (Ireland)
  • eu-west-2 (London)
  • eu-west-3 (Paris).

Private Endpoints let your applications reach your instances over the AWS network instead of the public internet. Users can choose which instances use a private endpoint, so instances in the same project can have different traffic settings.
  • Create a private endpoint under Project settings, then Security & Networking, then Private Endpoints. Connect your AWS VPC endpoint to Aura.
  • Assign the instances you want to use it. They start in hybrid mode, accepting both public and private connections, so you can test the private connection first.
  • Connect using the instance’s private connection URI. When you’re ready, turn off direct public access.
