Neo4j Desktop 2.3.0
Neo4j Desktop 2.3.0 introduces project and tag organization, an embedded Terminal and CLIs, one-click setup for AI coding agents, and key updates across studio tools including Query, Bloom, and Dashboards.
What's new
Projects and Tags
Keep related Neo4j local instances and remote connections organized in a single view using Projects. If you have connected your Aura account you will also be able to discover your Aura projects from the same menu. You can apply color-coded tags to filter resources across projects and manage your workspace cleanly.
Projects and tags are the shared human-and-agent workspace model for Neo4j Desktop: the context within which Neo4j resources are discovered, created, organised and operated.

Embedded Terminal with CLIs
Access command-line tools without leaving Neo4j Desktop. The built-in terminal provides one-click access to
neo4j-cli
and neo4j-admin
with dynamic command help. Desktop automatically injects stored credentials and context for local instances, Aura organizations, projects, and instances so you can execute neo4j-cli workflows seamlessly.
Setup Coding Agents with Neo4j Skills
Teach AI agents how to work with Neo4j using the neo4j-skills catalog. With a single click, you can install specialized skills for Cypher, Graph Data Science (GDS), GraphRAG, data modeling, drivers, and import, helping agents execute tasks accurately using up-to-date instructions.
Aura multiple databases
You can now select any target database for migrating to Aura instances with multiple databases.
Studio updates
Query tabs
Query now provides tabs, giving you a dedicated space to write, edit, and run Cypher queries you want to persist. The existing stream view is retained for workflows where it is less important to retain your Cypher.
This represents a shift away from editing and invoking saved queries in the stream view, changing a few things about the sidebar, saving, and layout along the way. Read more
