Hello, we've just sent out a notification about the availability of Neo4j Data-Importer in the console, please login and check it out.
I'll mark this as closed, knowing it doesn't address all your feedback specifically Rob Palmer, but we can open new feature requests as needed.
Enjoy!

Ray -O- Light thanks for taking the time to send us feedback, and for triggering an amusing thread.
As the Product Manager I'd be really keen to hear more about which aspects of the current experience you found to be sub-optimal?

John Kennedy: From experience, the process of getting data into the platform on aura is very difficult. The only way I could see it possible would be via API which is a lot of development effort when evaluating the platform on data you are familiar with. I've ended up building a local instance and try to migrate that over - but currently having issues with the upload tool. What would make this a lot easier is the ability to have a GUI in order to consume views in the popular cloud provider stacks (e.g. bigquery, synapse, databricks, etc) in order to create nodes and edges.

Rob Palmer: Thank you for taking the time to give us this level of detail.
I should have some _hopefully_ great news for you on an improved loading experience later today!!!!
Watch this space.

Rob Palmer, while the wider notification will go our later today, yesterday we released Beta access to the Neo4j Data-Importer tool.
Head into the console and find it under the "Open With" button for any running AuraDB Free or Professional instance, your feedback will be welcome.
